WP1: Risk communication issues in food allergy

Objectives:

  • Define the critical issues regarding effective communication and food allergies
  • Understand barriers to developing effective communication about food allergy
  • Identify potential cross-cultural and intra-individual differences in communication needs, taking due account of the diversity in European population regarding food allergenicity.
  • Identify members of the consortium who can provide food allergy information which will enable the development of guidelines to develop policy recommendations of direct relevance to risk regulators, the food industry, health workers and patient groups regarding effective communication about food allergy issues.
