WP5: Clustering of European food allergy research
Objectives:
- Develop a functioning cluster of EU-funded food allergy
projects
- Apply the recommendations and communication strategies
developed in WP2 to the dissemination of research outputs
of nationally and European-funded food allergy research
and related topics
- Promote exchange of information across EU and nationally-funded
research projects related to food allergy
Leader:
- Prof Henryk Kostyra, Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland
Cluster projects:
- SAFE: Plant
food allergies: field to table strategies for reducing their
incidence in Europe (QLK1-2000-03194). Dr Karin Hoffmann-Sommergruber
- AllergenTest:
Development of rapid-to-use immunochemical tests for the
detection of proteins with allergenic potential in food
(QLK1-2000-01151)
- Allergest:
The effect of gastrointestinal digestion on the allergenicity
of foods (QLK1-2000-01239)
- INFABIO:
Effects of diet and lifestyle on risk of gastrointestinal
infection and allergy in early life; consumer knowledge,
attitudes and needs (QLK1-2001-02606)
- REDALL:
Reduced Allergenicity of Processed Foods (QKL3-2000-00340)
- CREATE: Development of certified reference materials
for allergenic products and validation of methods for their
quantification (GRD2-2000-30032)
